Clayfish

A great place to take your children to paint. They have a huge selection of figurines, plates, crosses and other unfinished pottery pieces to paint. You simply select your item, pick out the colors of paint you'd like to use, grab some brushes, and paint your little hearts out! It's a wonderful family activity. After you finish painting, Clayfish Bisque will take your work of art and fire it in their kiln where the colors come alive! It's the perfect place to make your own personalize gift for someone special.

Natural History

In 1956, the women's organization Le Deaux Douzaines began conducting science enrichment programs for school children. This work led to the founding of the first Lafayette Natural History Museum & Planetarium in 1969 on Girard Park Drive. With the support of a vigorous Association, the Museum grew, and moved to the current facility on Jefferson Street in 2002. In 2005 the Association became a Foundation, supporting exhibits and educational programs at the Museum.
