PTO Fundraising
In an effort to support the School's continued growth the PTO sponsors a Fall and Spring Fundraiser which allows us to provide valuable learning tools, playground equipment, and assist with school improvements for our children.
As a small private Christian school it is important that we receive the full support of the church, staff and parents as it benefits our children's quality of education.
2009-10 Fundraisers
Our fundraisers for this school year, which included selling jambalya dinner tickets and a spring book fair held at Barnes and Noble, provided funds to add the Star Reader Program to our recently purchased Accelerated Reader Program. Enough funds were raised to also purchase new books to improve our school library.
2008-09 Fundraisers
Our fall fundraisers, which included a raffle drawing and silent auction, provided funds to add the Accelerated Reader Program, plus clean and add Microsoft Office to all of the computers in the school. The students also got involved in helping to raise funds by putting on their own talent show. Those funds along with the spring candy sale helped us update some of the worn playground equipment.
Covered Walkway
In the Spring of 2008, the PTO held a Fundraising drive with the sole purpose of raising enough funds to add our covered walkway. Donations of $100 were made for a chance to win $5,000.
The efforts of the parents and their families to ask for the donations paid off. LLS raised $17,000 to add our beautiful covered walkway to keep faculty, students and visitors dry during Louisiana's inclement weather.
