Membership

Families are encouraged to the join the PTO in support of the school. Membership dues are $20.00 per year for each family. Your dues help cover the costs of operating the PTO and also pay for the Student Directories each year. There will be three meetings per year usually held at 6pm in the Church Sanctuary. Announcements will be made each year for the dates. This is a great opportunity for families to get involved and address issues related to our school. Your family can make a difference. The PTO Board meets the 2nd Saturday of every month at 9am to discuss various issues such as fundraising, planned school activities and other PTO business.

Fundraising

Since its inception the PTO has focused on fundraising to support our teachers in their efforts to educate our children. The entire playground was sponsored by PTO fundraisers. More recent fundraisers focused on the classroom and provided teachers with computer programs and classroom supplies. Each school year the PTO Board meets with the Administration and Teachers to determine where funds will be allocated.

Student Activities

Each year the PTO collects a $35.00 activity fee per student for all of the activities planned for your child/children during the school year. We have found this to be very convenient for the parents, as they do not have to send money for every party that arises. Listed below are the activities the PTO organizes and hosts with your fee:

  • Grandparent's Day
  • All Saints Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas
  • Mardi Gras
  • Easter
  • National Day of Prayer
  • End of the year Field Day
  • The hall and lunchroom decorations throughout the year
  • Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
